One Piece x Victorinox

To explore the possibilities of stainless steel in the watch industry, Victorinox ask the next generation of up and coming designers about their take on this traditional material. Micro stamping is a highly precise technique commonly used for watch mechanism components. The idea was to bring this technique to the outside layer of the watch, to work in a one-material, one-process watch dial. In the industry different processes and assembly steps are involved in the creation of a watch face. Using micro techniques, the different components of the watch head, such as bezel, numbers, logo and surface treatment are created from a single piece of stainless steel, reducing the complex manufacturing chain of the piece to a single process acknowledging the same precission qualities.
